When you're not at home but the package arrives, this annoyance troubles many online shopping users. Recently, Amazon announced the launch of a smart lock system that allows delivery personnel to bring packages into your home when you're away, while ensuring the safety of users' property.

It is reported that this system, named "Amazon Key," consists of a smart lock and a camera system. Users can remotely control it in advance to allow delivery personnel to directly deliver packages to their homes, or create one-time passwords for temporary visitors such as delivery personnel or friends to enter their homes.

During this process, the identity of the delivery personnel and the packages are strictly reviewed by the system, and the camera sends live video of the process to the user.

It is reported that Amazon has been developing this service for over a year. Peter Larsen, Amazon's vice president of delivery technology, said: "For us, this is not a trial run, but a core part of our future shopping experience."

According to the introduction, this service will be launched in 37 regions in the United States on November 8, priced at $249.99 (approximately RMB 1,657), and Amazon will also provide door-to-door installation services.
