Southeast Net News: In order to eliminate defects in substation cable trenches and ensure the safe, stable, and orderly operation of the summer power grid, Yanping Power Supply Company recently organized personnel to carry out inspections for fire, water, and small animal safety hazards in substations. It is understood that cable temperatures generally rise, coupled with frequent small animal activity in summer, posing severe challenges to the safe operation of cables. To conduct thorough hidden danger inspections of cable trenches in substations within the jurisdiction, the company formulated a detailed work plan in advance, reasonably arranged staff, designated work leaders and full-time supervisors, and clarified the responsibilities of personnel at all levels. During the inspections, they carefully checked for water accumulation in cable trenches, the integrity of hole sealing, the condition of firewalls, and traces of small animal activity. In addition, substation operation and maintenance personnel used infrared thermal imaging thermometers to measure temperatures of cable heads and equipment connectors, in order to promptly detect and eliminate equipment operation defects and prevent summer power supply equipment from "heatstroke." Through the hidden danger inspection activities for fire, water, and animal prevention in cable trenches, the real-time operation status of power grid equipment can be understood, and the safety production awareness of staff has been further enhanced. In the next stage, Yanping Power Supply Company will continue to intensify efforts in investigating and rectifying equipment hidden dangers, carefully diagnosing and treating issues, to provide strong guarantees for the safe and stable operation of power grid equipment under high temperatures and high loads.
