HY-DC6V Lightning Counter Tester User Guide:
The power switch is located between the body and the head. Rotate it 90 degrees in any direction; a "click" sound indicates the power is on, while rotating it back turns it off. Before use, insert the grounding wire at the tail. After powering on, the green light will illuminate, and when the red light comes on (approximately 3-5 seconds), you can test the lightning counter using the retractable conductive rod at the head (which can be extended before powering on based on the counter's installation height). Repeated testing is possible without turning off the power (the conductive rod should be kept away from the test object during each charge).
Usage Instructions:
1. Charge before first use. To ensure effective charging and extend battery life, use the dedicated charger. Charging an empty battery takes 3-4 hours. The red light on the charger indicates charging; the green light indicates full charge. Before use, connect the provided ground wire plug at the tail and attach the ground clip to the earth.
2. Extend the retractable discharge rod appropriately based on the counter's installation height.
3. Press the red button to activate high voltage for about 1 second. When the indicator light flashes (slightly), gently tap the connection point between the counter and the lightning arrester to perform the test.
4. After each tap, the discharge rod tip should be moved away from the counter. If repeated testing is needed, you can keep the button pressed; after about 1-2 seconds when the indicator light flashes again, you can tap again.
5. Continuous testing may cause the tester to heat up; please allow appropriate intervals.
6. If the indicator light does not flash within 3 seconds of pressing the button, the battery needs charging.
7. Do not disassemble the tester. If battery capacity drops significantly or charging efficiency is too low, replacement is needed; please purchase the dedicated battery pack from our company.
Caution: When the indicator light is flashing (slightly), do not touch the electrode parts with any part of your body, as there is a risk of electric shock.
