Overview:

The variable frequency dielectric loss tester is a new type of intelligent variable frequency dielectric loss tester, translated into English: Frequency dielectric loss tester. With the continuous deepening of urban and rural power grid transformation, more and more high-voltage substations are being built, and the phase reversal method and phase shifting method can no longer meet the on-site testing requirements. The off-frequency measurement (variable frequency) changes 50Hz to other frequencies to eliminate interference. However, due to the limitations of electronic technology, the frequency after conversion is generally at a certain distance from 50Hz, and the capacitance value cx and tgδ under 50Hz conditions are converted and simulated, which has a certain deviation from the real power frequency test. Especially for a few test objects, the measured data shows obvious errors. After comprehensive comparison, a new type of dielectric loss tester has been developed. Its principle does not change the frequency, but can obtain the capacitance value cx and tgδ value under 50Hz conditions, improving measurement reliability and accuracy, completely suppressing electric field interference, and meeting the usage requirements under electric fields. This instrument has the smallest volume and lightest weight, making it easy to carry. It has flexible expandability, can be connected to a computer through an interface, uses powerful software accessories to upgrade the instrument, and features humanized design and fully automatic operation. This instrument is suitable for tests at substations of 500kV and below with interference on site. This instrument has passed the appraisal of the National Electric Power Research Institute and industry experts, and has been certified by the National High Voltage Metrology Station. It has been used in multiple substations in Jiangsu, Hunan, Guangdong, Yunnan, Liaoning, Sichuan, etc., providing reliable data for condition-based maintenance.

The fully automatic variable frequency dielectric loss tester breaks through the traditional bridge measurement method, adopts variable frequency power supply technology, uses single-board computers and modern electronic technology for automatic frequency conversion, analog/digital conversion, and data calculation; achieving strong anti-interference capability, fast test speed, high accuracy, fully automatic digitalization, and simple operation; the power supply uses a high-power switching power supply, outputs 45Hz and 55Hz pure sine waves, automatically boosts voltage, and can provide up to 10kV voltage; automatically filters out 50Hz interference, suitable for on-site testing in substations and other places with large electromagnetic interference. It is widely applicable for dielectric loss measurement of transformers, transformers, bushings, capacitors, lightning arresters, and other equipment in the power industry.

Performance Characteristics

◆ Multiple measurement modes are available, with options for positive/reverse wiring, internal/external standard capacitors, CVT measurement (no need for external booster, the instrument has built-in power supply), and internal/external test voltage for measurement. C1/C2 can be measured simultaneously.

◆ High measurement accuracy and good repeatability: The instrument has high test accuracy, with the basic error of dielectric loss measurement less than 0.0005, and the test data repeatability is excellent.

◆ In case of high-voltage short circuit or sudden power failure, the instrument can quickly cut off the high voltage and issue a warning message.

◆ High-voltage insulated wire: The insulation level of the high-voltage wire not only involves safety but also its leakage to ground directly affects the accuracy of reverse connection tests. The high-voltage output wire of this instrument is specially made of special materials and can be used directly on the ground. At 10kV output, there is no discharge, no leakage, and no sound to ground.
