1.When using the SXJS-IV Anti-Interference Dielectric Loss Tester, the instrument's grounding terminal must be reliably grounded.
2、Only when the instrument power is turned off and the test voltage selector switch is set to the "Off" position, is it considered safe to contact the rear of the instrument and its measurement cables with the test object.
3、During testing, it is strictly prohibited to operate the "Test Voltage" selector switch.
4、★In the normal connection method, the UH terminal is high voltage; in the reverse connection method, the IX terminal is high voltage. When in use, it is necessary to keep sufficient distance between the high-voltage cable and the ground according to the actual situation. The special insulated cables provided by our company can be dragged on the ground when measuring large-capacity test objects.
5、Do not replace the fuse tube with one that does not match the panel indication value.
6、When in use, use the cables provided by the manufacturer with the instrument as much as possible to ensure measurement accuracy.
7、Operation Keyboard
Standby------Not used.
Quick Test-------Quick measurement, without anti-interference function.
Start-------Start high voltage, begin measurement.
External Connection-------External connection method measurement. Also used to select the capacity of the external standard capacitor.
Stop-------Can interrupt the measurement during the test process.
Turn on the power, the instrument first performs self-check
(display, photoelectric communication, memory, operation keys, digital-to-analog conversion, grid frequency). After the self-check passes, it enters the main menu. Then follow the screen prompts to complete the test.
After entering the measurement state, the user can exit the measurement state at any time by pressing the "Stop" key.
When performing normal or reverse connection measurements, no manual intervention is required. The connection of the test leads matches the measurement method of the instrument operation. If the normal connection method is used, pressing the "Reverse Connection" key during the test can also yield results, but the results are not true and reliable.
When performing external connection measurement, "Please turn off external high voltage!" will be displayed midway, and it will pause, waiting for manual shutdown of the external high voltage. After turning off the external high voltage (must turn off external high voltage), press the "Start" key again to complete the test.
If the external high voltage is not turned off, the test results will not be true.
Selection of external standard capacitor capacity:
In "External Connection Mode", pressing the "External Connection" key once will change the displayed external standard capacitor capacity "XXXXpF". There are eight capacities to choose from (the last one is for factory debugging, and is invalid for user use).
50pF,100pF,150pF,200pF,500pF,1000pf,XXXpF,XXXpF.
You should select the capacity equal to the external standard capacitor. If the external capacitor capacity used is special, you can ask the manufacturer to input the capacitor capacity into the instrument. If the selected external capacitor does not match the actual one, the measurement results will be affected.
Normal Connection Method: (Wiring as shown in Figure 4)
Before powering on, first set the "Test Voltage" switch to the "Off" position. Connect the UH terminal with the large iron clamp (marked UH) of the dedicated cable to the high-voltage end of the test object, and connect the IX terminal with the core wire end (red, marked CX) of another dedicated cable to the low-voltage end CX of the test object. Its shield wire end (black, marked E) is grounded. If the low-voltage end of the test object has a shield terminal, you can connect that terminal to "E" with a wire and then ground it.
After powering on, press the "Normal Connection" key. Select the normal connection method: use the "Test Voltage" switch to select the voltage; then press the "Start" key to begin the test.
Reverse Connection Method (Wiring as shown in Figure 5)
Before powering on, first set the "Test Voltage" switch to the "Off" position, ground the UH terminal, and connect the core wire of IX (marked CX) to the high-voltage end of the test object CX.
After powering on, press the "Reverse Connection" key. Select the reverse connection method: use the "Test Voltage" switch to select the voltage, then press the "Start" key to begin the test.
Special note: The shield "E" is close to the IX potential. It can be connected to the shield of the high-voltage end of the test object or left floating, but it must never be grounded! Otherwise, the output end of the internal high-voltage transformer will short-circuit.
External High Voltage Method: Wiring as shown in Figure 6
CB is the external standard capacitor, CX is the test object.
When the test voltage required by the test object is greater than 10KV or the capacity of the test object is greater than 60000pF, external high voltage can be used for measurement, that is, without using the internal high-voltage generator of the instrument, but connecting an external high-voltage device for measurement.
Note: When measuring with the external high voltage method, set the "Test Voltage" switch to the "Off" position! Adjust the external voltage, then press the "Start" key to begin the test.
After powering on, press the "External Connection" key multiple times to select the external connection mode and the capacity of the external standard capacitor. You must also set the "Test Voltage" switch to the "Off" position! Adjust the external voltage, then press the "Start" key to begin the test.
The instrument has a Chinese LCD display with Chinese character prompts for various test information. After the test is completed, you can press the "Print" key to print the test results.
Storage and Free Repair Period
The instrument should be stored indoors under the original factory packaging conditions, with an ambient humidity of -20°C to 40°C, relative humidity of 30% to 70%, and the air should not contain harmful substances that can cause corrosion. When the instrument is suddenly moved from a cold environment to a hot environment, condensation may appear; wait for it to disappear before use. The instrument should be opened annually to remove dust generated during field operations, especially dust at the internal standard capacitor.
Within 2 years from the date of shipment from the manufacturing factory, if the user finds that the product has poor manufacturing quality or cannot work normally while fully complying with the storage and use conditions specified in the manufacturer's instruction manual, the manufacturer is responsible for repairing or replacing it.

(III), Capacitive Bushing
When measuring the tgδ and capacitance of any capacitive bushing of a three-phase transformer, the three-phase windings of the same voltage level must be short-circuited and energized at the neutral point (if the neutral point has a bushing lead-out), and the other windings not being measured must be short-circuited to ground; otherwise, large errors will result. Use the normal connection method: clamp the CX clip of the instrument's IX line onto the small bushing lead, and the UH line applies high voltage to the conductive rod, with a test voltage of 10KV.
For capacitive bushings with voltage tap and measurement terminals (small bushing lead-out wires), the measurement of tgδ and capacitance can be performed between the conductive rod and each terminal respectively:
When measuring the tgδ and capacitance between the conductive rod and the measurement terminal, the voltage tap terminal is left floating.
When measuring the tgδ and capacitance between the conductive rod and the voltage tap terminal, the measurement terminal is left floating.
When measuring the tgδ and capacitance between the voltage tap terminal and the measurement terminal, the conductive rod is left floating, and the test voltage should not exceed the normal working voltage of that terminal.
